From WTC  – ‘Our Kingdom theme is “Standing Together: Praise, Worship and Lament in the Church”. Walter Brueggemann, renowned OT scholar and theologian, identified the ‘costly loss of lament’ in our contemporary church worship. Dr Matt Lynch, WTC’s Academic Dean, will explore what the Bible teaches about praise and lament, and how bringing them together can greatly enrich the church’s life of worship. We live in a struggling, broken world, and the conflation of praise and worship, and accompanying expectations of happiness, can leave us spiritually impoverished when we go through hard times, or when we as a church intercede for others in distress.’
